My name is Sydney Simerson. I attend Old Dominion University am focusing on Nuclear Medicine Technology as my major. I chose Nuclear Medicine because I love helping and attending to people, including the younger patients and even the older patients. I would like to make radiation and the Nuclear Medicine field less scary to patients and easier to comprehend the results. Having a past record and experience in the hospital, I instantly fell in love with the medical field and the surrounding atmosphere. I’m a hard worker and am determined to make a difference in the Nuclear Medicine field.

Experience:

· Courthouse Recreation Association – Volleyball Referee

I was responsible for making responsible calls for each team and enforcing the sportsmanship rules that the Courthouse Recreation Association values. I was also responsible for implanting the love of the sport in each young participant.

· Courthouse Recreation Association – Gym Supervisor

As a gym supervisor, I was responsible for putting up all the equipment for each teams’ practice and cleaning up after each teams’ practice.

· Courthouse Recreation Association – Girls’ Volleyball Coach

I volunteered for a couple of seasons with girls’ volleyball teams to help assist the coach with directions and to teach the sport of volleyball to young girls in Virginia Beach.

· Ocean Breeze Waterpark – Activities Coordinator

I was responsible for collecting and making daily announcements around the park. I was also in charge of providing educational and entertaining activities for the younger visits.

Hobbies and Interests

I enjoy playing and teaching volleyball to younger children. I like to exercise; I enjoy staying healthy and keeping myself healthy. I like to help others and offering advice to others.
